Nothing to fight for

The principle of meetings between CSKA and Spartak seems to concern only red-white now. CSKA, focusing on their own personnel and game problems, as if did not notice who they went out to play in the Moscow rain. And this attitude was enough for the hosts for a draw.

The downpour that hit the floodplain of the Moskva River exactly to the first whistle of Igor Zakharov added nervousness to the already exciting expectation of another collision between CSKA and Spartak. And in the first minutes, the coaches ceded the elements the right to determine the tactical pattern of the game. The Brazilian army, slipping on wet synthetics, tried to part with the ball faster - and the one who got it got it. Milos Krasic distinguished himself by speedy adaptation in unusual conditions, having realized that his simple tactics of sprinting jerks with the ball could bring results. And so it happened - the merit of the right midfielder of the army was the first dangerous free kick, the first shot on goal and the first goal. Having earned the ball under the left on the right corner of the box, the Serb without looking struck into the far corner and hit. And he became the author of another premiere of the match, earning a warning for a removed T-shirt.

The hostile attitude of CSKA looked like a direct result of six years of calm and testified to the absence of a pre-match jungle. It took much more inflated Spartak to recover and transfer energy in the right direction - by the end of the rain and the first half, the team finally “ran”. However, the trial threats of red and white became a warm-up for Mandrykin. First, he easily took the right position when catching Boyarintsev’s strike, which mirrored Krasic’s goal shot, and then he played perfectly at the exit, moving Mozart’s canopy to the side.

Despite the inequality of the score, the first half leveled the impression of the game teams. Having digested the starting excitement, “Spartak” spun the gears of the attack, and CSKA unexpectedly dropped out of the game Jo, who tried in vain to create the width of the attack by leaving on the flank. Aldonin made a couple of dangerous “cuts”, and in the second half he brought the number of errors to five or six. Detection of problems in the game mechanism required the intervention of coaches - and the difference in their reaction, perhaps, determined the further course of the match.

Vladimir Fedotov played on an opponent. Replaced the inert Boyarintsev (Denis’s mood and fart so far only helps the team in the end of the matches) with hyperactive Torbinsky. And the midfielder quickly gathered a crop of a pair of deft feints, a yellow card, an ideal cross on Pavlyuchenko’s head and a dangerous blow from ten meters. Later, noting that CSKA was using five extreme defenders with the help of the extreme midfielders, the Spartak coach moved the attack focus to the center, driving Bystrov and Torbinsky from the edges to insider positions and tucking them with the help of Kalinichenko and Sabitov. It was the latter's vertical pass on Bystrov that led to the return goal.

Valery Gazzaev, on the contrary, saw only his team on the field. He refused to react to the fact that Spartak wound up and the people at the gates of the army with energy accumulated over six years. The CSKA coach, it seemed, was absolutely sure that the starting lineup would retain the desired result, and was not going to insist on the principle of victory in the derby. Most surprisingly, Gazzaev was almost right. The goal scored by the Spartacists, as well as tactical restructuring, the army did not seem to notice - they continued to play and scored themselves. But they did not dispute the non-obviousness of offside Jo. Even the yellow cards received do not understand why. And they found time to play with a dog that ran onto the field.

It seems that now the Gazzaev team has nothing to fight for - it reluctantly reaps the fruits of teamwork and the acquired class, even in the absence of leaders, without any apparent effort keeping in the table near Spartak. And he achieves an acceptable result in a crucial derby, not giving all his best. But the opponent is already the second match in a row demonstrates a remarkable gaming character. He, however, is still lacking - neither the Cup return match with Lokomotiv, nor today's derby can be called a definite success. But there is still the current first place in the championship - a consequence of the spirit and dedication of Spartak. And in this situation, it may turn out that the club won the main victory over CSKA not in a full-time meeting, but in a long distance.
