Khomutov was introduced to the Ministry of Internal Affairs

HC MVD introduced a new head coach. They became a famous hockey player Andrei Khomutov in the past. The Moscow Region team, which is only three years old, is already the sixth mentor. The management hopes that with the new specialist it will be possible to win medals.

A suit sat on Andrei Khomutov, but he still pulled on his jacket every five seconds. Apparently, he’s not yet used to photographers who set lenses on him and shoot non-stop.

At the first meeting with reporters, Khomutov was noticeably worried. For example, when they asked him about creative plans, he said: “I want to achieve results with a team that has a small budget.” As if good financing is some kind of problem that is difficult to deal with.

The coach has not yet been set any tasks. No one can say which hockey players leave and which remain. It became clear that the club’s budget would be increased (probably to Khomutov’s displeasure), and a contract with a coach would be signed on a 2 + 1 system.

It should be noted that Khomutov has already become the sixth coach in the history of the club. And it is precisely before him that they are tasked with winning medals. The club management seriously claims that this will be done in three years. Of course, without a big budget.

All coaches of the HC MVD

Victor Vakhrushev. April 2004 - November 2004

Why did he leave. Then the club played in the major league, he did not pay much attention. And nothing really is known about the reasons for terminating the contract. They say that Vakhrushev was in conflict with veterans, and one of them - Alexander Semak - turned out to be more expensive for the club. It seems that there were some failures during the regular season, which were just an excuse.

Gennady Tsygurov. November 2004 - May 2005

Why did he leave. He left himself - therefore it is not clear why. However, this specialist completely independently changes teams, without any reasoning for decisions. In the HC MVD they hoped for him, offered decent conditions, but Gennady Fedorovich did not like something much.

Sergey Kotov. May 2005 - November 2005

Why did he leave. The team did not show stable results, and Kotov began to criticize hockey players. There was a conflict, and the club management sided with the players. And not by chance. The fact is that at the end of the season the team started having problems with money, there was even a strike. And everyone, probably, expected that at the right time the players would enter a position and not “drive the wave”. Wrong.

Valery Panin (Acting). November 2005 - May 2006

Why did he leave. Has never been considered a contender for the role of a permanent coach. And he was in the club only in difficult times, when not a single experienced specialist with the HC MVD would just want to work.

Nikolay Soloviev. May 2006 - March 2007

Why did he leave. The official wording is poor results. The coach himself wanted to stay on the team and was very surprised when he was told no.

Andrey Khomutov. April 2007

Why come. He wanted to return to Russia. He believes that here he will be able to fully realize. He says that the HC MVD is the first club to invite him to work.
