Boris Mironov: “The next CSKA will be met tough”

Defender of Chekhov's “Vityaz” did not finish the match against CSKA. In the middle of the second period he was removed for insulting the arbitrator for 30 minutes. In an interview with Sport Today, Mironov told how it was.

- What did you attack the arbitrator?

- This question should be redirected to the judge.

“What did he do?”

- Remember the episode in the first period, when Nemirovsky accelerated and crashed into our goalkeeper? For this it is necessary to delete, but the referee missed the episode. I immediately warned the judge that the next soldier, who arrived at the piglet, would be met with toughness.

“So why was the judge insulting?” They would beat CSKA players.

- Yes, I agree, I could not cope with emotions. But this is hockey. It always happens: emotions, fights. The penalty match was written out to me quite rightly.

- You did let the team down.

“It's hard to say if this is so.” The guys fought to the end, equalized and lost only in overtime. Of course, I let the partners down. Could help.

- Although there really is something to try there ... In the first round of the playoffs you get either to Ak Bars or Vanguard. And that’s all. The season is over.

- We have a chance to get through the first round. We will fight in every match. It makes no difference who we fall for.

- Boris, but there really is no chance.

- There is. Our team is on the rise, you see. You need to add a little bit, for example, in tactics. And then there will be a chance.

- Do you hope that Mike Krushelnitski, the head coach of Vityaz, will say something that will make you run forward during the playoffs? However, he is from overseas, knows how to tune in to decisive games.

- You are right, Krushelnitsky prepares us for crucial games. All the guys are waiting for the relegation matches. And we are ready to give a surprise.

- Do you agree that Vityaz is a team showing the North American style of hockey? Almost the only one in the Super League.

- Yes. We have a Canadian coach, how could it be otherwise? But we are trying to combine his hockey with Russian realities.

- It turns out not very - 15th or 16th place. So it’s too early in our country to play Canadian hockey?

- It's just that we are all human, we are all mistaken. We do not succeed.

- Have you adapted in Chekhov?

- Yes, everything is fine. There are no questions to either the management or the team. We have a very close-knit team. But it happens that we show not the best hockey.

- Are you satisfied with your actions?

- Yes. It was hard at first. I got used to it for a long time, still a different style of play. But now everything is in order.

- Follow the NHL?

- Of course.

- Then tell me who will win the Stanley Cup?

- So you can’t predict something. So many good teams go to the playoffs. And everyone has a chance. In America, it’s hard to predict who will be the champion.

- Who has at least more chances?

- “Nashville” looks good, although no one expected it. But I still can’t name the winner.

- Who will you root for?

- I would be rooting for the Rangers if this team got into the playoffs.

- We argue a lot about who is the best tough guy in the NHL. Bugar or Larak? Ivanans or Brashear? What do you think?

- Oh, the most difficult question. The fact is that in each team there is a strong fighter. And defining a champion is pointless, because everything depends on the fight there. But I played with Larak. It seems to me that this is a very strong fighter. One of the best.
