Filatov fired, the new president of “Locomotive” - Semin, the new coach - Byshovets

According to SPORT Today, today's meeting of the board of directors of Moscow Lokomotiv, held at the main office of Russian Railways, has led to the most radical of possible solutions. The president of Lokomotiv Valery Filatov was dismissed with the phrase "for unsatisfactory results." The contract with the head coach Oleg Dolmatov, which expires on December 31, in the “Locomotive” decided not to renew. Yuri Semin was appointed the new president of Lokomotiv, and Anatoly Byshovets was appointed the new head coach. The contracts with both are for two years.

Semin, recall, coached this team in 1986-1990, and also from 1992 to 2005, and under his leadership Lokomotiv won the Russian championships in 2002 and 2004. From April to November 2005, Yuri Semin headed the Russian national football team, but after this “business trip” he didn’t return to Lokomotiv, as originally allowed, because of a long-overdue conflict with Valery Filatov. The initiator of the new, already third Semin’s invitation to Lokomotiv, according to SPORT Today, was the president of TransTeleCom CJSC Sergey Lipatov.

As it was reported at a press conference held immediately after the Lokomotiv board of directors, the club’s new headquarters will be formed in the coming days, and before that there will be no reports of upcoming transfers.

The president of Russian Railways, Vladimir Yakunin, set the task for Semin and Byshovets to make Lokomotiv the best team in Russia over the next two years. The task for the coming season is a place in a duet of leaders. Listing the tasks assigned to Semin and Byshovets, Yakunin dropped one rather mysterious phrase at the press conference: "The efforts of the new leaders should be aimed at cleansing all sports, not football in particular."

“The decision to change the president was not easy, because it was necessary to find a figure recognizable and loyal to the club,” said Yakunin, and described the selection of the former Lokomotiv president Valery Filatov as “bad”.

For some reason, Yuri Semin was immediately asked at this press conference whether Vadim Evseev would remain, but the newly appointed president evaded the answer.
