- The first matches of the season revealed a lot of game problems for the club. But judging by today's meeting, Dynamo is adding. How do you feel?- Now is just the beginning of the season, and much remains to be fixed in our game. Dynamo still lacks injured Popadopoulos and Raichevich. At the same time, we are gradually progressing as a team. In defense - the safety net began to work better, in attack - we use each other more. I feel we are moving in the right direction.
- Your role in Dynamo is seriously different from those in Atlanta and even Taugres, isn't it?- In Atlanta, I was a newcomer to the League, and they trusted me according to status. In “Tau” my role changed in the second year: I often took the initiative in my own hands, made independent decisions. Indeed, in Dynamo received even more freedom. Just to achieve something, you need to constantly improve. Then the role will be more significant.
- Some in Russia believe that the Super League is ahead of Europe, even the Spanish Championship. You, like no one, can objectively evaluate the strength of both leagues.- The Spanish DIA League is the best in Europe. After the Euroleague, of course. I think the Russian championship shares the second or third places with the Italian.
- With Europe it is clear. And in the main league of the world - the NBA - does not pull back?“I don't think about that.” Today my contract is signed with Dynamo. Together with the club, I want to win everything in Russia: both the cup and the championship. Yes, and the Euroleague too.
- That is, your belief in the success of Dynamo in the Euroleague did not shake and failure in Poland?- The meeting in Sopot was really terrible. But our chances are great. Now the goal of Dynamo is Top 16. It’s pointless to think ahead, to assess the prospects for getting into the “final four”. We need to work on the task. But if we can handle it, then we'll talk.
- How do you spend your free time in Moscow?- We do not have much free time, continuous training. But there are already some favorite places. Sometimes we choose, together with our Dynamo partners, in the city center, where there are many American restaurants.
- And there are no problems with communication in Russia?“We quickly became friends with Mirey Chatman.” But now he is no longer in the team. And so, of course, I maintain contact with many Americans acting in Russia, with friends on the Tau. But not only with them: at Dynamo I communicate very well with Fotsis, Domani. Yes, the same Khvostov, albeit a very young guy, but quite sociable and pleasant in communication.
