Germany does not have its own "classic". It just so happened that the elite in the Bundesliga is a very vague concept, at different times it is personified by different teams. There is Bavaria, the leader for centuries, and someone is next to it: in the 70s, Borussia from Mönchengladbach, in the 80s Hamburg, in the 90s Borussia Dortmund, Bayer "Or" Schalke. " Therefore, large matches are constantly changing the sign. The last three years, the main intrigue of the Bundesliga is the confrontation between Bavaria and Werder Bremen. Before the eighth round of the current championship, these teams were in the lead, which means that the big match was to nominate one of them in the prima season.
In England, participants in such games from the first minutes rush at each other, trying to tear, powder, destroy, and so on - until completely eradicated. What coaches say before the game, of course, matters, but is forgotten pretty quickly - not so much for the players. In Germany, this is not so; the super matches there are more similar to the Italian ones: the struggle of ideas is of great importance. Bayern head coach Felix Magat reapplied the three-net forward scheme. Podolsky, Mackay and Pizarro were supposed to inspire the shaky defense of the “Bremen” to numerous flaws, and then take advantage of these mistakes. However, in the first half, the plan did not work - the Werder Bremen completely crushed Bayern Munich in midfield, where the three Munich midfielders came under high pressure from the hosts. “Bremen” just took the ball and did not give it to the opponent for about twenty minutes - no less.
The total advantage of “Bremen” at the beginning of the meeting would make sense only in one case: if the hosts managed to score. Otherwise, Bayern would have recovered, shook off and went on. And they managed to score a “Bremen”! Brazilian midfielder Diego masterly used Frings' exact transmission. Two or three years ago, this football player, together with Robinho, admired the whole of Brazil with his game for Santos, then he left for Porto, where he got a little quiet. And in the current offseason, the leaders of the “Bremen” invited Diego to Bremen - he was supposed to replace Joan Mika, who had left to play the game home. However, they didn’t give anything either: the tall defenders Naldo and Mertezakker gladly took the ball away from the goal. It seemed that the match could end in the defeat of Bayern - last season, Werder Bremen scored three unanswered goals in a home match. However, as often happens, Bremen was let down by a momentary relaxation. Bayern successfully played the standard, the defenders slammed the episode, and Mackay returned the match intrigue - 2: 1 after the first half.
In the second half, the quality of the game deteriorated sharply - fatigue began to affect. Still, the teams played the third match in a week, and the human forces are not unlimited. Werder Bremen refused pressure, which, in theory, should have helped Bavaria. Bremen - not great masters to play on hold. Clinging to their gates, they, for example, missed the victory over Barcelona in the second round of the Champions League. However, Bavaria spent too much energy on Wednesday - do not forget that in Lisbon she had to play ten times in all of the second half. The danger at the gates of Wiese arose only after the standards - long-range strikes did not bring success, but Bayern’s combinations did not work in this match. Only the opponent’s mistake could help the guests.
However, it was admitted by the Munich themselves. In one of the counterattacks, Vome went on the left flank and hung in the penalty area. It might well have been all right, but Lucio intervened - thirty-three Bavarian misfortunes in this game. Diego scored the first goal of the “Bremen” after he defeated the Brazilian defender; Khan’s strike from the penalty area prevented him from seeing Kana too; finally, in the third case, Lucio so unsuccessfully turned up under the ball that he went into the goal on an unattainable path for the goalkeeper. It was the end - to play two goals in such a game was not possible.
Naturally, this match does not allow making global conclusions about the state of affairs in German football. However, there is no doubt that Bayern is not the only and unconditional favorite of the championship. “Werder Bremen” no worse than the Munich team learned to deal with teams from the lower half of the table, which means that it is quite capable of withstanding the pace of the Magat team. However, the season in Germany is amazing. Usually, at this point, there is already a separation of sheep from the goats, leaders and outsiders make themselves known. But this year, nothing can be figured out - the more interesting it will be to observe the development of events.
