CSKA - Spartak. Retrospective

15 championships of Russia made CSKA and Spartak the most titled teams of the country, and the match between them was the most important derby of the country. “SPORT today” studied the history of the issue, singling out 6 out of 34 matches of Moscow clubs.

FIRST EPISODE. Rout
06/27/1993. Russian championship. 16th round
Spartak - CSKA - 6: 0
Goals: Ledyakhov, 15 (1: 0), Beschastnykh, 51 (2: 0), Ledyakhov, 56 (3: 0), Pyatnitsky, 65 (4: 0), Karpin, 75 (5: 0). Ledyakhov, 90 (6: 0).

In the 93rd year, “Spartak” won the largest victory in the history of the capital's derby. The team of Romantsev, strengthened by Tsymbalar and Nikiforov, was going through its golden age and simply had no competition in the domestic arena. The difference in goals scored / red-white for the season impressed no less than the result of this match with the army team - 81:18.

SECOND SERIES. CUP FINAL
05/22/1994. Cup of Russia. The final
Spartak - CSKA - 2: 2, penalty kick - 4: 2
Goals: Ledyakhov, 6 (1: 0), Karpin, 11 (2: 0), Radimov, 39 (2: 1), Bystrov, 58 (2: 2).
Penalties: Grishin (0: 1), Ledyakhov (1: 1), Bystrov (1: 2), Onopko (2: 2), Bushmanov (2: 2, goalkeeper), Ternavsky (3: 2), Kupriyanov (3 : 2, goalkeeper) Alenichev (4: 2).

Despite the departure of leading players abroad, Spartak continued to dominate the championship. However, in the cup final, CSKA showed its teeth and its rising star - Vladislav Radimov. It was he and Bystrov who answered two quick Spartak goals. Thanks to saves by Gintaras Stauce, the Spartak team were stronger in the penalty shootout, who thus won the first Russian Cup in their history.

THIRD SERIES. NEW PAGE
09/26. 1998. Championship of Russia. 26th round
CSKA - Spartak - 4: 1
Goals: Khomukha, 15 (1: 0), Filippenkov, 25 (2: 0), Borodkin, 54 (3: 0), Khomukha, 87 (4: 0), Robson, 90 (4: 1).

With the arrival of Oleg Dolmatov in CSKA, the period of timelessness ended. Army fans spoiled by the UEFA Cup, champion titles and assists of the Jo series still remember this amazing jump of the Dolmatov team from 14th place in the championship to 2nd. In a full-time meeting with Spartak (who defeated Real Madrid in the same season and fought against Milan Inter on equal terms), the Reds and Blues won the first victory over Spartacists in Russian history, but what. But this match did not shake the balance of power: Spartak became the champion again.

FOURTH SERIES. COTTON DOOR
03/31/2001. Russian championship. 3rd round
Spartak - CSKA - 1-0
Goal: Baranov, 34.

The last year of the Spartak championship, 2001, was not the best for the red and white by the standards of the recent past. The first tangible mistakes in breeding and, as a result, an unprecedented turnover of the composition in the offseason; a failed game in the Champions League; drop in attendance; all these circumstances undermined the champion's strength. In the light of the arrival in CSKA of Evgeny Giner and Valery Gazzayev, as well as a whole group of new players, headed by Laisans and Rakhimich, the balance of power of the opponents is changing. The era of Romantsev in Spartak was slowly but inexorably coming to an end. This minimal victory over the most principled rival in modern Russian history has become a Romanesque slam door. Since then, Spartak did not win against CSKA.

FIFTH SERIES. IMPOTENCE
04/21/2002. Russian championship. 8th round
Spartak - CSKA - 0: 3
Goals: Solomatin, 10 (0: 1), Gusev, 40 (0: 2), Lizans, 53 (0: 3).

An indicator of the rise of CSKA and the fall of Spartak was the first round match of the 2002 championship. The start of the Romantsev team in the tournament inspired moderate optimism for the fans, the only defeat in the seven starting games, the red and white suffered from a strong Lokomotiv, and in a fairly stubborn fight. CSKA started no less successfully, and the acquisition of Gusev, Shemberas, Daev and Kirichenko made the Gazzaev team a favorite of the tournament. On April 21, she did not leave stone upon stone from the enemy’s defense. For the first time in the history of the derby for the entire match, Spartak delivered only 4 hits in the direction of the red-blue, and not a single one on target (at CSKA these figures were 19 and 8, respectively).

SIXTH SERIES. REVIVAL OF INTRIGUE
03/11/2006. Super bowl
CSKA - Spartak - 3: 2
Goals: Titov, 22 (0: 1), Zhirkov 42 (1: 1), Mozart, 47 (1: 2), Odia, 72 (2: 2), Jo 82, (3: 2).

In the period from 2002 to 2005, Moscow clubs switched roles. From year to year, CSKA gained stability and truly high-quality football players, won in Europe and looked more preferable than anyone else in the country. While Spartak changed players, coaches and even owners in a frantic search for what was lost. Fights between antagonists in this period invariably ended in beating the red and white. The first matches of 2006 remained for CSKA, but the stronger Spartak, at least, gave hope for a revival of intrigue in the main Russian derby.
