Pay taxes - train quietly

The newly made head coach of the Russian national team, Guus Hiddink, has added more worries. In Holland

The reason for Hus’s worries was not Russian football reality (which could have been expected), but the Netherlands Themis. The tax evasion scandal and the Dutch law enforcement investigation threaten to cast a shadow over the career of a specialist.

The financial activities of Hiddink in 2002-2003 were especially interested in the Netherlands prosecutor's office after a recent search in the office of his financial adviser, Simon van den Bumen. After the seizure of a number of documents, van den Bumen was detained. The former financier, however, does not face loneliness in court hearings. Among the accused is also no less than the former director of PSV Eindhoven Fons Sporen.

The ex-coach of the Korea and PSV team and part-time main hope of the Russian fans will also be unlikely to sleep peacefully until September 15. Just then, preliminary hearings will take place with the direct participation of Hiddink himself.

The transience of events surprised the Dutchman’s lawyer very much - the lawyers have very little time to build a line of defense in court. And this despite the fact that, according to a statement from a person from the prosecutor's office, Guus Hiddink is charged with "tax fraud." Not the most pleasant start to a new round of career ...

The potential defendant himself, however, feels quite confident, as evidenced by his comments on this issue: “I am confident that I am right and I want to prove that there can be no talk of any fraud. It can only be a matter of purely administrative matters. ”

Fortunately, a possible lawsuit did not affect (at least for now) Mr. Hiddink's work schedule.

Already on Saturday, the head coach of our team will fly to Moscow. In the program of the next visit to Russia by the Dutchman, the first number means viewing several matches of the Premier League and, as a result, the second means forming the national team before the friendly match with Latvia on August 16.

Recall that on September 6 in Moscow, the Russian team will hold its first match in the qualifying round of Euro 2008 against Croatia. And already on the 15th, the doors of the Dutch court will open before Guus Hiddink.

Truly from fire to fire ...
