Dmitry Kirichenko: “Transition is stress for me”

The transfer of this striker from “Moscow” to “Saturn” was one of the most unexpected in the current offseason. On Monday, the football player played for the “townspeople” in the Cup of Russia, and on Wednesday tried on the form of “Saturn”. How this happened, Dmitry Kirichenko said in an interview with Sport Today.

- Why did you leave Moscow?

- This year my contract with the club was ending. Yes, they proposed a new agreement, everything was pretty stable. But he thought and realized that it was time to leave. In "Moscow" has played for two years. Three more could have been spent there. But it seems to me that for a football player four to five seasons in one club is a lot. We need new emotions, new impressions. New frontiers.

- And why is Saturn?

- The offer from the Ramensky team has many advantages. Here is the most modern base, the stadium. There are many more fans. And this is very important for a football player - supporting the stadium.

- And do not you change the awl for soap in sports terms? “Moscow” and “Saturn” solve similar problems.

- If we take the last year, then the difference between the sixth and twelfth teams was small. This season, Moscow and Saturn will seek to gain a place in European competition. And how it turns out - we'll see. I signed a contract for three years.

- What did you fail at in Moscow?

- I am pleased with the two seasons in the “citizens”. Everything was very good. I don’t even know what exactly didn’t work. At least I tried to do everything I could. But how it turned out is difficult to judge.

- Won financially?

- Saturn offered me slightly better conditions than Moscow. But the money did not play much. My transition had other motives that have already been mentioned. I think that if I decided to extend the contract with the “citizens”, I would also be financially satisfied.

- Have you had any other suggestions?

- There were no real ones.

- Didn’t want to play abroad?

- I'm used to Russia.

- What do you think of your former club? This team, which appeared out of the blue, has a future?

- Of course. The club is developing very well. New footballers are being acquired. I know that they must build a stadium and base. I have the best memories of Moscow. It was nice to work with Leonid Slutsky.

- Have you already talked with Vladimir Weiss?

- No, I didn’t. The contract was signed two hours before the meeting with the fans. We are still unfamiliar with him.

- Will you set a goal for the number of goals per season?

- I want to show just a stable result. It's hard to talk about the plan - I'm in the new team. The transition is stress for me.

- You left CSKA at one time, now Moscow. Mood after the transfer - how at that time?

- I still have not felt my mood after moving to Ramenskoye. But the army team left with completely different thoughts - then I wanted to play, I was not satisfied with the playing time.

- They say that you can be released in the next match of Saturn.

- Can i? I’ve already played in the Cup of Russia.

- By the way, was it worth playing against Amkar, since you already knew about the transition?

- That day I was a player of the “townspeople”. And he was obliged to give all the best in the match for his team.
