We are pleased to announce that at the
laboratory to them. Chebyshev St. Petersburg State University opens a
magistracy in theoretical informatics , which is implemented in close cooperation with the
Computer Science club and with the support of
JetBrains and
Yandex .

The curriculum includes basic and advanced courses on algorithms, computational complexity, cryptography, discrete mathematics, mathematical logic, machine learning, formal languages and automata, computational geometry and numerous more specialized subjects reflecting modern directions in computer science. Under the guidance of specialists in theoretical computer science, students conduct research.
The curriculum is complemented by
Computer Science Club courses and trips to international student schools.
Principal teachers and possible academic leaders:
I. A. Bliznets - algorithms for NP-hard problems, parameterized algorithms and complexity,
M.A. Worlds - Diophantine equations and the 10th Hilbert problem, permutations, combinatorial identities, spherical codes, algorithms in number theory,
E. A. Hirsch - complexity of algorithms,
D. M. Itsykson - complexity of evidence, complexity on average, SAT-algorithms,
AS Kulikov - algorithms for NP-hard problems, circuit complexity,
S. I. Nikolenko - machine learning, network algorithms,
A. S. Okhotin - formal grammars, questions of complexity in automata theory, syntax analysis algorithms,

Classes are held on Vasilyevsky Island, in the historical center of St. Petersburg.
A similar master's program for 10 years was implemented at the Academic University, its graduates studied and conducted research at leading Russian and international research centers: Stanford University, UCSD, KTH, New York University, Universita degli studi di Milano, University of London, Penn State University, Indiana University, Columbia University, Yahoo Research, POMI RAS, etc. From the new academic year, the
Computer Science Club and
JetBrains cease cooperation with the Academic University.
Those who wish to enroll must complete the
