
And again I greet you, dear readers. We continue the cycle of materials devoted to vertical solutions nanoCAD VK and Heating.
This time we will look at the project no less interesting than the one that was presented in the previous article
“Designing a Fire Fighting Pumping Station” . After the release of the first material, there was silence for a couple of days, I was even upset - the article did not “catch up”. But then the calls went: they asked how to contact the main character of the publication, Vyacheslav Zatserkovny from Delta LLC, how the program was implemented and whether it was worth the money.
At the end of the summer, a letter came from Pavel Kochnev, working for the company “Technology”. The company creates all the conditions for design engineers, architects and technologists, contributes to their professional self-realization. Pavel has been working for nanoCAD VK for a year now, but the project he described refers to an area that is quite unusual for the program. It was necessary to design the water supply and drainage of livestock farms for 2,700 animals.
General modelIt immediately turned out that some calculations could not be done in the program: nanoCAD VK only provides calculations for SP 30.13330-2016, and for livestock facilities they are carried out according to a different set of rules - SP 106.13330-2012, as a result of which other norms and calculations are applied. Taking into account this circumstance is a new task for program developers, for the time being it was necessary to do some calculations manually. However, let's give the floor to Paul himself:
“First of all, I would like to tell you a little about why we decided to use the programs of Nanosoft CJSC. Several years ago, our company began to actively look for ways to reduce the cost and time to design, without losing the quality of work performed. To accomplish this task, modern software was required, which could automate the design processes, as well as visually combine several sections of the project, eliminating system errors and the “human factor” action. In the professional environment, BIM technologies have already been very actively discussed, and it is quite logical that we investigated the possibilities of the market in this particular direction.
Choosing among the many possible options, the company adhered to pre-formulated requirements for purchased programs. One of the most important was compliance with Russian design standards and accepted design standards, including GOST R 21.1101-2013 “System of project documentation for construction (SPDS). Basic requirements for design and working documentation ".
The next, no less essential requirement is the convenience of mastering the program: here both the opportunity to provide the specialist with complete information in Russian and the availability of direct communication with the developers were taken into account.
The selected program must be licensed for use in the field of industrial and civil construction, because all our projects are subject to state expertise. There were also technical requirements for the programs.
Having studied various options, the company chose the software of Nanosoft, CJSC, based on the nanoCAD platform, namely these developments most fully met all of the above conditions.
The
nanoCAD VK ,
nanoCAD Electro ,
nanoCAD SPDS and the Network module of the
nanoCAD Geonika system were
acquired . These products, each in its own section, allowed us to create an information model, and then, using IFC files, assemble a single information model. For us, this is very important, especially in view of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 926 / pr issued on December 29, 2014 “On approval of the Plan for the phased introduction of information modeling technologies in the field of industrial and civil construction”.

nanoCAD VK I have been working for quite some time. I studied the program on my own, its interface is convenient and clear. I mastered the basics quickly, and with fairly simple projects there were no difficulties. When projects appeared complex or non-standard, the specialists of Nanosoft CJSC helped, first of all, Nikolay Suvorov, whom, taking this opportunity, I would like to sincerely thank once again.
One of these challenging projects that we carried out using the
nanoAD VK program
has become a livestock farm in the Orenburg region. Here we are faced with the specifics of designing agricultural enterprises. The fact is that the calculation of water consumption by animals is somewhat different than the calculation of human consumption (SP 106.13330-2012) and when creating a BIM model in terms of VC, the calculation component had to be abandoned: the program did not include the norms of consumption by animals and the corresponding calculated irregularity factors equipment. This, of course, did not affect the administrative and domestic sector, in relation to which the necessary calculations were performed by software (the estimated water consumption and wastewater costs, the required inlet flow, input flow to the building). Data on calculations are displayed in the table of hydraulic calculation. For the future, it would be great to be able to compare the combined graphic model of the calculated area with the hydraulic calculation table formed in the program. This will help the engineer to better analyze the designed system.
3D-model of water supply and sanitationWhen the project was just beginning, a new version of the program was released, in which the functionality of editing 3D graphics of fittings on risers was implemented. We were able to more accurately draw transitions and connections in 3D models. But I would like to see the selection and placement of shaped parts working in automatic mode after calculation. In the meantime, you have to first design the network, perform the calculation, and only then manually arrange the fittings. Of course, when you do everything, the system turns out to be beautiful, not even very sorry for the time spent, but it would not be superfluous to automate the process.
Racks with connectionsIt is important that the plans are drawn simultaneously with the drawing of the 3D model, so that subsequently the 3D model for the customer does not have to be redone.
Milking unit planWhen designing it is not always possible to immediately form a complete database of the project. We have to create new elements, because, unfortunately, not all manufacturers have yet offered their databases for
nanoCAD VK . I am glad that the database is open and allows you to create the missing elements with the ability to download any 3D graphics. The choice of formats is very large: * .dwg, STEP, IFC and 3ds Max.
In the heat of work, you can not connect any element to the database - and it’s very good that the program reports that it allows you to identify errors made by the designer.
Among other advantages is the automatic output of the specification of materials and equipment used in the project. And the fact that elements that are not connected to the system are not taken into account in the specification.
SpecificationAnd, of course, axonometric schemes: two mouse clicks - and the scheme is ready, it remains only to arrange it. Who knows how much time it takes to create such schemes manually, fully appreciate this opportunity. True, I also want automation to press a button - and all the notes have been placed in the right places ...
Axonometric circuitBIM-model never overflows with information, you can put any amount of data about equipment and other elements into it. Therefore, we would like to see the future of nanoCAD VK as the development of an automated module directly connected with adjacent sections (PB, OM, TM, etc.). At the same time, information entered into other sections could be transferred to VC and back.
I am glad that the functionality of the program is expanding, and the problems that we encountered while working on the project will be solved in the near future. ”
The project presented by Paul is very interesting. Impressive and the amount of work done, and the ability to overcome difficult moments. I sincerely wish that the projects created by Paul and his colleagues would be realized, and the nanoCAD VK continued to be their reliable assistant.
And, of course, a brief announcement. A new, tenth version of the nanoCAD platform has been released.
The DWG 2018 format is supported, a new kernel is implemented with a new 3D functionality, the control of * .dwg documents is implemented, a new modern interface is proposed - and this is only a small part of the new products. All of them will be available in vertical solutions.
