The other day in Innopolis, a presentation of a new communication platform from Rostec was held,
writes Cnews. The developers have demonstrated a domestic IVA AVES-S solution with the functionality of both a messenger and a video conferencing system. According to the project participants, the new communications system is better protected than Skype.
In "Rostec" claim that this is "the first of its kind domestic decision." The messenger is designed primarily for public companies and businesses. With it, you can hold any type of meetings, send confidential data, monitor technological processes. The cost of the messenger is about two times lower than that of foreign counterparts.
The main features of the messenger - the possibility of organizing secure video conferencing with Full HD resolution, sending text messages in a chat, conducting online surveys, collaborating on documents.
The authors of the project claim that all the software for IVA AVES-S was developed in Russia. This messenger is running Astra Linux OS. But Windows was not mentioned in the presentation, so, most likely, the messenger does not know how to work in the environment of the Microsoft operating system. The rights to the software belong to the Scientific Research Institute "Scale" and the group of companies "Hitek"
Last year, Rostec, together with Rostelecom, were already
engaged in the development of a domestic counterpart of Skype, also for state and commercial organizations. Then it was reported that the messenger planned to be called "Bulat". It had to work on a local network without an internet connection, so the developers wanted to increase the security of data transfer.
Another messenger created the Rostec division, which is called RT-Inform. The work was carried out in 2016, but it is not known whether the project on the development of the messenger for government agencies was implemented.
