JetBrains Company announces the opening of the
master's program "Software Development / Software Engineering" at the ITMO University. We invite applicants to continue their studies and get high-quality knowledge in the field of programming and computer science.
Training program
The program offers students current knowledge in the field of software development. Basic courses (algorithms, programming, machine learning, and others) are complemented by specialized subjects (deep learning, information retrieval, image analysis, and others), which represent modern approaches to solving IT industry problems. The teaching staff of the program includes current scientists and developers of large St. Petersburg companies.
Practical lessons play an important role in teaching this program. In addition to the classic seminars, students at the beginning of each semester choose an educational program project, on which they work under the guidance of teachers or employees of partner companies, and at the end of the semester make reports on the results. In the course of such work, students learn to apply their theoretical knowledge, master modern technologies and gain valuable development experience in conditions as close as possible to reality. Many projects are directly related to the actual development of the company's products.
The master program in software development with the support of JetBrains has previously been successfully implemented at St. Petersburg Academic University. This year, JetBrains suspends collaboration with AU and launches a similar master's program in collaboration with ITMO University.
Arrival
Entrance examinations consist of two stages. At the first stage, applicants must complete an online test of 12 tasks in mathematics and programming. Those who cope, we will invite for an interview. At a personal meeting, we will invite applicants to talk about their motivation, programming and research experience, and also to discuss several theoretical issues and solve problems. The interview is conducted by teachers and curators of the direction.
Admission programIf you plan to take part in the entrance tests, you need to register and fill out the form on
the university website . In the application, select the program "Software Development / Software Engineering".

Please note that the selected date for the entrance exam in the application form is not final. The timing of the online test solution and the date of the interview will be discussed individually.
