The 5-year trial of Justin Carter for a joke (?!) on Facebook has finally been completed. The article was reclassified from the “terrorist threat” into a “false alarm” of section 42.06 of the Criminal Code.

Justin spoke with other players on the League of Legends site, after which the conversation flowed into FB, where he was called crazy, to which he reacted (as he thought) with sarcastic comments:

A woman who did not know the whole story (and was not aware of the context of the conversation), told him to the police. Justin's mother created a
petition in support of her son. The trial lasted for 5 years and only
on March 8, 2018 in this case was put an end .
Lawyers were able to ensure that the article of the prosecution was reclassified from the “terrorist threat” to the “false alarm” of section 42.06 of the Criminal Code.
During all this time, Justin had many restrictions. For example, he could not normally use the Internet, could not get a job. Now he
is raising money to normalize his life.
