Today, May 29, 2018, the company DJI, released data on the price and the beginning of sales of the first stabilizer DJI for mirror and mirrorless cameras
DJI Ronin-S .
About DJI Ronin-S Electronic Stabilizer
Powerful high-torque motors withstand loads of up to 3.6 kg, allowing you to use the most popular cameras and lenses, including Canon 1D and 5D, Panasonic GH and Sony Alpha systems. Users can control the parameters of compatible camera models.
The stabilization system compensates for the increase in lenses with an external barrel for zoom and a higher zoom ratio, and improved algorithms work with stabilization of both the lens and the camera. The maximum working speed reaches 75 km / h when using a Panasonic GH5 camera and a 50 mm lens (equivalent to 35 mm format) with the option of connecting the holder through a shoe.
Stabilizing videos has never been easier, because the Ronin-S was designed specifically for ease of setup and use. The new Push mode allows you to adjust the axis of rotation, tilt and rotation manually, and the Auto Tune function automatically adapts the power of the motors, thereby accelerating the preparation of the equipment. You can spend more time taking pictures and less time setting.
The comfortable, ergonomic design of the Ronin-S helps create smooth frames when moving from vertical to portrait and pendant mode, without blocking the camera screen. Ronin-S is also equipped with an intelligent battery system from DJI, mounted in the handle. The battery lasts up to 12 hours.
A high-precision joystick repositions the camera for perfect frame positioning, and a set of special buttons allows operators to control various settings, such as switching between SmoothTrack profiles and starting recording. The included focus ring can be installed on either side of the handle using an 8-pin connector. The new sports mode provides a perfect transition to high-speed scenes thanks to the precise following of fast moving objects.
Use intelligent shooting modes and advanced personalization features of the Ronin-S using the DJI Ronin mobile app to automate complex camera operations, such as panorama, dynamic time-lapse, time-lapse, and tracking. This will allow you to adjust certain camera positions for shooting and switch between them if necessary. Users can also change the SmoothTrack settings, including speed, acceleration and deadband, for each axis, save the parameters in three different profiles and switch between them using the special M button on the Ronin-S. The main parameters of the camera can be configured directly through the application Ronin, optional accessory Focus Command Unit allows you to quickly make changes if necessary.
Ronin-S is equipped with the standard Manfrotto mounting system and is compatible with various accessories from the DJI Pro range for shooting in any conditions and expanding your creative freedom, wherever you are. Supported optional accessories include: Focus Command Unit, which is a screen for advanced stabilizer, camera and focus settings without a mobile device; DJI Force Pro; DJI Master Wheels; Ronin 2 remote control and an external motor to control the lenses manually, compatible with the included focus ring. The Ronin-S can also be used with a car mount, carrier mount and a two-handle panel when additional convenience and stability are needed.
Ronin-S software supporting camera control will be available in early July.
Retail price of Ronin-S will be 59 890 rubles. , pre-order is already available on our website, the first deliveries are expected in mid-July.
Below is a table of supported lenses and cameras. In my opinion, the list is far from complete, and other cameras and lenses will most likely be supported.
