LED lamp without driver

For the sake of curiosity, I bought this wonder-yudo.

This is a G9 LED lamp in which there are no visible electronic components at all - only the LEDs themselves.

Of course, one hundred percent ripple of light from such a lamp is inevitable (it does not have a smoothing capacitor) and I will not advise anyone to use such a lamp. This is what her light looks like in slow motion (shot at 1200 frames per second).

In a glass flask a plate on which there is a set of LEDs, filled with a common phosphor.

LEDs and phosphor on both sides of the plate.

The legs of the contacts are soldered to the metal strips, and on the other hand the contacts connecting them to the board are soldered to the strips. Perhaps these strips are current-limiting resistors.

I wonder how the Chinese managed to make the LEDs work directly from the network. The form of consumption of this lamp looks like.

Either a diode bridge is located directly under the phosphor, or there are two parallel-connected LED chains - one working from one half-period, the other from the other.

Ripple lamp.

Released this "miracle of technology" Navigator.

Manufacturer - Xiamen Neex.

They promise 5 watts and 500 lm. In fact, 3.6 W and 390 lm.

In my opinion, producing and selling such lamps is unacceptable and I very much sympathize with those who buy them and will live with pulsating light, but from a technological point of view, the bulb is very interesting and, using such technology, you can certainly produce simple, good and cheap lamps for work. on constant voltage.
