Born to crawl

It suits many people that it is possible to “fly” on a quadrocopter only in a figurative sense - by observing a flight from the side or through FPV. But this is not the video blogger Ivan Miranda, who invented a device that allows it with a loud roar, very slowly and with a meager supply of power ... just ride a longboard, but for real. Of course, he was not the first to manufacture such a design, but it was he who first used it for serial quadcopter components.

The device is housed in a 3D printed case that is worn on the arm. This case is the only thing that had to be done from scratch, because no one imagined that someone would use parts for quadcopters in such an unusual way. During the first tests, the standard remote had to be held in the other hand, which is inconvenient, but it allowed us to make sure that the quadrocopter born to crawl was fully functional.

Then the developer decided to modify the device so that they could operate with one hand, abandoning the remote. And at the same time measure the developed traction. During the experiments, one of the engines failed, which is somewhat disappointing, because they sell them only in sets of four.

Has a completely impractical thing turned out? I would not say. On the street with her, of course, there is nothing to do - take pity on the ears of those around you, but as another service in segdrome, it will go with a bang.
