"Mom, he counted you," or to whom and what is needed

According to RIA Novosti, VTsIOM conducted a regular poll, which showed a marked lack of interest on the part of Russians towards the fate of the Telegram messenger.

Why am I doing this? I think that slowly the public is being prepared to think that, since Telegram is almost not interesting to anyone, it’s not just ordinary people who are protecting it, but some renegades. And if so, then the RKN is more likely to be right, protecting ordinary citizens from the actions of "those who are against us." Moreover, note that the question about the legality or even the adequacy of the RKN action was not asked in principle.

Here is how, according to the RIA note, the opinions of the respondents were distributed:
According to VTsIOM, 78% of Russians go to the network with varying frequency. Most of them (65%) heard about the decision of the court to block Telegram in Russia, and 21% followed the events around the messenger.

At the same time, for 64% of the surveyed users, the issue of accessibility to the Telegram is not important (including for 43% - absolutely not important). 24% of respondents consider the opportunity to communicate via instant messenger as relevant, and this proportion is significantly higher among 18-24-year-olds - 45%.

The above is the beginning of a RIA Novosti note. The ending, to which not everyone reads up, reads (bald is mine):
The All-Russian VCIOM-Sputnik survey was conducted from April 14 to 15 among two thousand respondents over 18 years old. The survey method is a telephone interview , the statistical error does not exceed 2.2%.

In the polls, nuances solve a lot, but we see the results in the above quotation. I could not find a link to the original survey data on the VTsIOM website, so it’s difficult to talk about the representativeness of the sample (but it seems that the survey doesn’t do well with this characteristic).

I am personally curious: will there be any far-reaching conclusions on such surveys in the future? We'll see!
