Top 3D Expo: new products and trends in digital production, exhibition review in Moscow

Hello friends! Vasily Kiselev is with you and today we have the fourth issue of the video blog - a special issue about Top 3D Expo. Top 3D Expo - the largest exhibition and conference on digital production and additive technologies in Russia. This year, it was held on April 10 in Technopolis “Moscow” on Volgogradsky Avenue.

This time more than 1000 people visited the expo. More than 10 speakers spoke at the conference, talked about modern industrial applications of 3D scanning, 3D printing and modeling.

Two practical workshops took place - on 3D scanning and 3D printing.

In this issue - a tour of the stands, new exhibits, conversations with exhibitors and a general overview.

Watch the video:

PICASO 3D

At the PICASO 3D stand, about which we recently had a separate release of the video blog, we again saw new items - a new 3D printer and two new construction materials filled with carbon fibers. In a recent release of our 3D vloga, Andrei Isupov promised to show new items at the exhibition, and he kept his word.

Printer - Designer X is designed on the platform X, developed with the previous model Designer X PRO . Many solutions used in it duplicate the previous model, it is an automation system, a plastic supply control system, and a profile system.

Printers on platform X can be combined into hubs — 3D printing farms, for single-slot and dual-slot printers to work together. Designer X, in contrast to X PRO, prints only one material, but also supports temperature regimes that allow printing with refractory durable structural plastics.

Such plastics include two new PICASO 3D composite plastics - the Ultran series plastics. It is a carbon-filled polyamide. The polymer conducts electricity and withstands high temperatures, due to which it can be coated with powder coatings intended for metal.

The hook model, printed from Ultran with a filling of 33% of the volume, sustained a suspension of 100 kg during the day and did not lose strength.

The material is three times stronger than ABS plastic. Ultrana models withstand a temperature drop of -60 to +150 degrees Celsius under load, while maintaining their integrity. No load - up to 200 degrees.

The retail price for Ultran is planned at around 4,500 per kilogram. 3D printer Designer X will cost about 140,000 rubles.

RangeVision

The company RangeVision has introduced a new scanner RangeVision PRO 2M - an updated model of a universal professional 3D scanner with several scan areas.

The scanner is certified as a metrological instrument and can be used in industry, in particularly critical areas. Scanning tolerances are less than 50 microns. It is good for reverse engineering and other engineering applications.

The scanner has four scan areas, it can scan objects ranging in size from a few millimeters to several meters, with very high detail, higher than that of hand scanners.

A distinctive feature of all RangeVision products is free software and a free subscription to all software updates for them.

Anisoprint

Anisoprint is a Skolkovo resident company based and producing its equipment and consumables right there.

Anisoprint Composer is a domestic printer development with a new technology, similar to FDM, but with its own distinctive features.

The idea behind the development is to add carbon fiber to any 3D printed plastic directly during 3D printing, which will give printouts from any filament enhanced mechanical properties, such as strength.

In printing using this technology, a special print head and an additional carbon fiber filament impregnated with a special polymer are used.

There are three feed channels in the print head - one for regular filaments, for FDM printing, the other two for mixing carbon with conventional filaments and printing durable products.

The key difference from the closest competitor, Markforged, is in the openness of the system - any filament can be used on Anisoprint, while on the foreign counterpart - only expensive proprietary material.

Anisoprint produces carbon fiber for the printer itself, it costs 10,000 rubles per kilometer, which is three and a half times cheaper than Markforged.

The printer will be available in three different sizes. The smallest is called Composer A4 , it has a working area of 297x210x148 mm. and costs 325,000 rubles. Models with a larger printing area, A3 and A2 cost, respectively - 460 000 and 590 000 rubles.

Shipments on pre-orders start from the beginning of autumn. The company has collected more than 30 pre-orders.

Markforged in Russia is not for sale because of the sanctions, so Anisoprint has very good chances for success.

VR Concept

VR Concept is a Russian developer of virtual reality software. Virtual reality software, VR soft, is directly related to digital production, since it can load digital models in different formats and interact with them interactively at various stages of development.

Such processes as layout, meetings, discussion, to some extent - marketing and sales, training of personnel and users with this tool become much clearer and more convenient.

The most realistic interface for interacting with three-dimensional information is used in heavy industry, for example, in the company TsTSS, virtual reality is used in shipbuilding. There are examples of applications in the aircraft industry, architecture and construction.

The use of VR in education cannot be overestimated at all; it is the future of pedagogy.

Top 3D Shop

At the Top 3D Shop stand we presented a bunch of new products brought from Formnext and several interesting devices for photopolymer stereolithograph 3D printing.

The printer of the Italian company DWS - DWS X Fab is unique in that it has a cylindrical construction area with a base diameter of 180 mm., A unique system for removing parts from a perforated platform, a proprietary line of materials and has high accuracy characteristics at the level of industrial designs.

This printer is slightly more expensive than Form 2. It surpasses it in other parameters, like a more professional machine. Materials are cheaper than those from Formlabs.
DWS has many specialized materials for jewelry, dentistry and other areas. This is a reliable European brand that makes a worthy competition to its peers in its market segment.

Formlabs Form 2 is a classic stereolithography. It is unique in its reliability - in the entire history of sales and operation of these machines there has not been a single repair due to internal breakdowns, only force majeure such as flooding with polymer or a broken cover, and its software is so simple and intuitive that even a schoolboy can handle it .

3D-scanner Shining 3D - EinScan-Pro + - a scanner with increased speed and accuracy of scanning. Additional modules are responsible for color scanning and improving accuracy, complete with them, it can even fight with industrial scanners.

One of the latest trends in photopolymer printing is LCD and DLP printers that have changed the perception of stereolithography availability.

They are illuminated by LEDs, by means of an LCD display or a projector, which greatly reduces the price compared to laser stereolithographs. Wanhao Duplicator 7 for 30 thousand rubles literally turned the market.

Printers British company Photocentric exist in four versions, of which three are standard, differing only in size, in the largest platform the size of a sheet of A3. These are PhotoCentric Liquid Crystal HR , Liquid Crystal 10 and Liquid Crystal Pro respectively. Fourth - Liquid Crystal Precision , it has a high accuracy.

We all know about Carbon's CLIP technology, which accelerates the stereolithographic process tenfold. Before us is a 3D printer from Uniz SLASH PLUS , which uses this technology, although it is formally considered to be a regular SLA, printing on it reaches a speed of 360-720 mm / hour.

Uniz SLASH PRO will be available soon , we will tell about it in new publications.

Polyamide, nylon is a very important construction material with a wide range of applications. Sinterit Lisa is one of the recently appeared compact powder SLS printers. Previously, such systems cost more than 15-20 million rubles, it was only large industrial solutions, and after the expiration of patents, new models began to appear on these technologies. The entire kit costs no more than 1 million rubles. Own station is sifting powder and processing prints. The camera is 150x150 mm in size, which with this technology is much larger than in FDM, because support is not needed and the camera can be filled completely, tightly, “folding” the parts to each other. There are different types of nylon powder that allow you to create parts with varying degrees of stiffness and flexibility.

The Foodini printer is an Italian 3D printer for food printing. Convenient operation, large screen, simple interface, a lot of supported materials.

We finally waited for him: for three years he remained a render and a concept, but finally he went to the series and came to us.

STRATASYS F370 is a large industrial printer from a reputable manufacturer with its own line of certified materials with consistently high print quality. In the new fashionable design.

Bauman Racing Team

The guys from the BRT student racing team brought and showed their car, many details of which were created using 3D printing.

They were happy to talk about their offspring, its creation and its participation in competitions to all interested.

KUKA

A small industrial robot KUKA showed visitors the speed, accuracy and freedom of their movements.

REC 3D

Representatives of REC 3D showed their materials for 3D printing and told about them not only on the conference stage, but also on the exposition booth.

In one of the recent releases of our 3D wagg, we talked about this company.

Print Product

Colleagues from Print Product showed coils of plastic and printed from it.

There were, of course, other manufacturers of printers and consumables at the exhibition - you will not list them all in a short report.

IQB Technologies

The representative of IQB Technologies Pavel Chadushkin demonstrated the work of the handheld 3D-scanner Creaform HandySCAN 700 and spoke about the benefits of using 3D-scanner to control the geometry in the enterprise.

All participants performed well and presented very interesting reports. Each speaker of the conference gathered a full hall for his presentation.

Master Classes

Practical workshops were held with full notice. Both PICASO 3D workshops on 3D printing, and Top 3D Shop scanning workshops.

Very pleased with the enthusiasm and interest of visitors.

Thanks to everyone who visited the exhibition. We were happy to show new items and give the floor to our speakers.

In the format of one post report, we cannot tell about all the respected partners, both speaking at the conference and presenting their stands at the exhibition, but - soon we will post the full photo album of the expo in our VC community , and we will publish the speeches of the speakers separately.
