Enbe GPS Kids Watch Review: Simple and Functional

Usually, interest in children's watches increases by the end of summer: by the beginning of the school year, however, in the summer the device may also be useful. Children's camps, cottages, rest by the sea, where children can and, in general, should show independence.

We are following the good old tradition of arranging a small sale for readers of our blog for useful gadgets: today these are models of EnBe children's watches.

We are not trying to surprise anyone: children's watches with GPS have been sold for quite a long time. The price of the device varies today, probably already from 600 rubles to several thousand, and in the niche there are not only “original” manufacturers, but also major brands: Huawei, Alcatel, Xiaomi.

The main features of a children's watch with a SIM card come down to location tracking and quick access to a call to parents. Initially, manufacturers have positioned the device in this way: an alternative to a phone that can be broken / broken / lost. And here: cheap, angry and always at hand (on hand).

Enbe

Actually, EnBe is a concise name - it is an abbreviation of En joy the Be st: they were localized under such a brand in Russia. The watch works in tandem with the Russified application and helps to track the child's location, as well as to contact him by calling on the wrist.

Among the central functions:

Everything is configured by the parents in the app. The device works with IOS and Android devices.

To get started, you need to scan the QR code and register. The parent who did this first becomes the clock administrator with full access to the settings and the ability to assign “watchers”.

The application is quite simple, although it has two settings menus. One of them is called in the left corner, the other - in the right.

In the “right” menu, everything is quite simple: here you will find the setting of safe zones and notifications to them (in / out), the ability to set up to 10 allowed contacts, the lesson schedule menu, a pedometer and notifications.

What are the features here. Pedometer

It does not work by default: to start counting steps, you must initially set a goal. Otherwise, you will see "0".

schedule

Performs formal reminder functions. The clock does not look very clear. In fact, so that the child can independently see on the clock information about what his lesson is, and so that the parents do not forget.

It is configured in two stages: first, by clicking on the plus sign in the central part, the lessons are marked from Monday to Friday (usually at this age, children still do not study on Saturdays, so it looks logical), and then the time of the lessons in the left column is marked.

In general, probably, according to the logic of the creators of the device, the “schedule” can be paired with a pedometer, and parents may notice suspicious activity during literature or math. And where were you from 11 to 11.45?

Notifications

As already noted, they not only roll in the form of Push, but are also saved in a special folder. However, the setting of notifications is carried out in another window: just in the second menu.

Notifications are only a small part of what can be done, and this setting is called by the gear icon.

Also, messages are accessed from here:

The child will receive the text on the display:

Here you can also set up the “sleep mode” of the clock in order to save energy and the “data tracking” mode.

How exactly the locations are determined at a particular moment will be prompted when clicking on the “needle” on the map:

And then, on the left - the remote off the clock. And this is just one of those opportunities that we found quite interesting.

The included EnBe clock with a SIM card installed can be turned off only by the parent administrator: the child, no matter how he presses the button, does not have this option. This is a curious opportunity that will not allow the little cunning man to spend his mom and dad, referring to the fact that the clock suddenly discharged.

Of course, there are a few more hacks: you can simply pull out a SIM card, but then the pickup sensor will work and a notification will come! In general, something suspicious will happen, and for parents this will be a signal for some action.

Also, on one of the screenshots, you might have noticed additional settings below. They are caused by a large yellow button.

It's all quite simple: setting the numbers of parents, setting the number “SOS” and the possibility of a hidden call: clicking on the button you will have a field to enter the number - this number will receive a call from the clock.

On the left there are three icons:

Bluetooth is also one of the interesting features, although quite simple, it allows you to control a child for short distances. The manufacturer suggests a model of use in large shopping centers, when the parent gaped, the child peered, and then passed on the radio, "Vasya Ivanov, parents are waiting for you at the main entrance."

The second possibility is to search for hours in the room.

The third is the history of routes.

The clock itself also has a menu with access to some functions. Hours

Basically they are in standby mode.

To just see the time, you need to press the power button.

There are two buttons on the case: power on and SOS. In the menu, pressing the SOS button once performs the “back” function. A little longer - a call to the specified number.

Clock control touch. Among the additional features available to the child, a calculator, control sound modes, change themes and some others. Also on the clock you can view the last received message, schedule, calendar, address book.

For convenience, both numbers of parents and the digital button “SOS” are additionally rendered in the “premenu”.

The watch case is rectangular, available in several colors. On the other side of the buttons is the speaker:

On the “side of the mouth” - a microphone hole, on the same side, a GPS sensor is integrated into the belt:

The lid opens easily: there will be no problems with access to the SIM card. The back of the watch also has a charging socket and a pick-up sensor.

The model is charged with the help of its docking station. It seemed quite tough, and if you close it - not a problem, then it opens already under pressure.

In total inside the box: warranty card, instruction manual, charging cable and charging station.

As a result: a good, stable watch with a five-minute position update interval and a number of useful features. You can mark the presence of the information section (schedule), the inability to turn off the hand, either by accident or on purpose.

It is also worth putting in, plus the flexibility in the position tracking settings and the ability to work in the “chasofona” mode. The watch can “interchange” the parents: if, for example, in the SOS mode, the dad does not fit, then EnBe will automatically call the mother. Helpful too. Also not to mention an important feature: in order for the clock to work correctly in time, it is necessary three or four times to fully charge / discharge / charge the battery.

How to buy

Today EnBe watches are represented by two models. The second model, which is considered “younger”, is not sensory and generally simpler .
