Google has
announced the shutdown of the API of the first version of the popular service reCAPTCHA. From March 31, 2018, any requests for v1 API will stop working.
Beginning in November 2017, some requests for v1 API started to receive notifications about the imminent end of service support (there is an example in KPDV). According to Google, most sites have already switched to the
second version of the API , which does not require any effort from the user to solve the captcha - just tick "I am not a robot." This version of reCAPTCHA uses an advanced risk analysis mechanism that allows you to effectively cut off bots and always be one step ahead of attackers.
There is also an Invisible reCAPTCHA, the main difference of which is the absence of an interface as such. The developer can bind the check to any user action (for example, to submit a form) to check users in the background.
If you have not yet switched to the new version of reCAPTCHA, it's time to do it. Log into the reCAPTCHA admin panel,
create a new key and
update the client part of the captcha.
